Plaincode Digital is a Shopify development studio based in the Netherlands. We are the data controller for anything you send us through this site.

We collect the least we can get away with: what you type into the booking form, and anonymous statistics about which pages get read.

✸What we store. Your name, email, store URL and the notes you send. Nothing else, and never anything from inside your store's customer data.

✸Why. To reply to you and, if we work together, to write a contract and an invoice. That is the whole list.

✸How long. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted after twelve months. Client records are kept for seven years because Dutch tax law says so.

✸Who else sees it. Our email, calendar, scheduling and invoicing providers, all under processor agreements, all hosted in the EU. We do not sell or share anything with advertisers.

✸Your rights. Ask for a copy, a correction or a deletion and you get it within thirty days — usually the same week. Email is enough, no form required.

✸Under NDA. When we work on your store we sign whatever confidentiality agreement you use, and we access production only with named accounts that you can revoke.

One cookie from our scheduling provider, set only when you open the booking calendar, so your chosen slot survives the page reload.

ANALYTICS · COOKIELESS

Page views counted without cookies, without IP storage and without a profile of you. We can see that a page was read, not who read it.

MARKETING · NONE

No remarketing tags, no social pixels, no third-party ad scripts. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you get a banner.

terms of work.

The short version of what goes in every contract. The signed document always wins if the two disagree.

✸Scope and price. Fixed price per project, agreed in writing before we start. Anything you add along the way gets its own quote instead of a surprise on the invoice.

✸Payment. Fifty percent to start, fifty on launch, fourteen days to pay. Monthly work is invoiced at the start of the month.

✸Ownership. All code and design we make for you is yours on final payment, in your own repository and your own Shopify account. No licence fee, no lock-in.

✸Aftercare. Thirty days of free fixes on anything we built. Monthly work runs month to month and either side can stop with two weeks' notice.

✸Third parties. Shopify, apps, hosting and domains stay in your name and on your card. We never own the accounts your business runs on.

✸Portfolio. We would like to show the work and name you. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will not — it costs nothing either way.
